Well I’ve been virtually MIA on my blog so I apologize for that. I don’t have an excuse, I just haven’t had much to write about so I figured I’d spare you the boring and mundane details of my lackluster daily life.
However, there have been some recent updates that you may not find interesting but I do. First, the editing of Taking Chances before being republished are coming along well. I don’t have a specific date or timeline when the book will be republished, but I’ll be sure to let you know.
Other updates for me have been a slight bit of progress with Frigid Nights. I’ve once again hit a wall with writing and need to break through it in order to get the first draft finished. I’m conflicted on how I want the book to end. I have two good endings in mind, but am unsure which I’d like to go with. There’s a little to go before I have to make that decision but it’s good to have in mind because the setup for the conclusion can make all the difference and I don’t want to fuck it up.
As you may know, I consider myself a gamer. I recently took a chance after hearing good reviews and bought Red Dead Redemption 2. I’ve always been a fan of Rockstar’s games like GTA and LA Noire. So far I’ve completed 25% of the storyline and it is fantastic. It makes me want to go back into the time of outlaws in the old west until I remember they didn’t have running water or modern medicine. The story is interesting as it follows some previous plots of Rockstar games as you’re an outlaw in the 1890s but there are so many new activities and intricacies to the game. From customizing your saddle to finding hidden gold treasure to getting shitfaced at the local saloon, there’s a lot to do in the game and you’re never bored. You even need to go hunting for food! I must say, I was delightfully surprised by how cool this game turned out to be considering I never played the first one but wish I had. And let’s be honest, any game where you can praise and pet a dog yields a good review. Would definitely recommend.
