Mental Obstacles

Have you ever been writing a story and come to a point where you can’t decide or determine what needs to come next exactly and it prevents you from writing further? Like knowing what points A and C are, but not sure how to go about building the bridge that is B? That’s where I’m at, very early in my short story of crime fiction.

Sometimes, this can create a mental obstacle that’s difficult to get over. It’s like a term paper, it can seem so daunting a task, you don’t even know where to start, so you don’t. The key to overcoming these obstacles is just one thing: writing. But sometimes the simplest solutions, such as sitting your ass down and writing, can be the hardest.
